Purpose of the blog
I started a trading blog to mentor my students and share my expertise in trading. This blog serves as a platform where I can provide valuable insights, tips, and strategies to help my audience navigate the trading world. By sharing my knowledge and experience, I am creating a resource that empowers aspiring traders to develop their skills, make informed decisions, and grow their confidence in the market. It’s also a great way to foster a sense of community, inspire learning, and build long-term connections with my students.
None of the above is true.
I’ve always been fascinated by trading. The markets, with their unpredictable swings and opportunities, have held my curiosity for as long as I can remember. The idea of understanding them and, yes, making some money along the way has always been appealing.
In December 2024, I decided to take a step forward and create a network within the trading world. To start, I reached out to a couple of leading retail forex news sites that were advertising for contributors. I thought it would be a great way to get my views published, connect with like-minded individuals, and expand my circle in the industry. Unfortunately, my efforts met mixed results. One site didn’t respond at all, while the other rejected my article. The rejection wasn’t entirely surprising when I reflected on it—my piece was too short, lacked depth, and didn’t delve into specific trading approaches. In hindsight, their feedback was fair. The article can be found here
Still, the rejection stung. My ego took a hit, and I found myself questioning my approach. But instead of giving up, I decided to channel that disappointment into action. That’s when the idea for this blog was born. Why wait for someone else to approve my work when I could create my own platform to share my thoughts, trades, and forecasts? This blog became my way of combining two passions: trading and writing.
The goal of this blog is simple. I want to document my journey, share my trading forecasts, and reflect on what works and what doesn’t. If I’m good at it, I’ll naturally build a network and connect with others in the trading community. But more importantly, this blog is for me. It’s a space to grow, learn, and track my progress. Who knows where it will lead? For now, I’m just excited to start.
Years from now, if this website is still around, I hope to revisit this post and smile. I’ll remember the rollercoaster of emotions that came with taking this first step—the uncertainty, the excitement, and the determination to create something of my own.
